When we say "Speaker", we mean a transducer on its own. A "Speaker Transducer" is sometimes referred to as a "Raw Speaker Driver", "Woofer" or "Tweeter". If you have a powered speaker in an enclosure, please visit the "Electronic Repair" FAQ Page.
We primarily work on pro audio and touring loudspeakers. Generally speaking if your speaker has a paper cone then we can fix it. If it has a plastic or poly cone, then it depends on the problem.
More detailed information on different types of repairs are below.
RAW SPEAKER DRIVER - Information for many speaker models can be found on our Repair Pricing page. If you still cannot find what you are looking for, please Contact Us to get an estimate.
SPEAKER IN AN ENCLOSURE - For speakers installed in an enclosure, our minimum rate is a Bench Fee of 1 Hour, which will be collected at the time the gear is dropped off or received. The Bench Fee covers the first hour of diagnostic and repair work. After that, we bill by the quarter-hour at the rate of $135.00 per hour plus parts and sales tax if picked up locally.
*Please note that we cannot help you remove a speaker if it is installed in your vehicle.
In many instances, taking the unit apart and diagnosing the problem is about 90% of the work, and can take up to an hour or even more. Our techs enjoy being paid for the work they perform, and we enjoy paying then for their time.
For raw speaker drivers we can usually get a quote within 2 business days.
For speakers installed inside enclosures we try our best to provide an estimate within 5 business days and complete the repairs within 10 business days from the date that an estimate is approved.
All repairs performed by Neon Production Supply LLC carry a warranty on parts and workmanship. This warranty does not cover equipment failure due too, but not limited too, misuse, abuse and improper use.
